Liv Fergusson is excited about the prospect of facing West Bromwich Albion for the first time in a Wolves shirt.
Despite facing the Baggies for her previous club, Fergusson is set to pull on the Old Gold shirt and come up against the local rivals while playing for the club she supports. The attacker has all eyes on Sunday’s Black Country derby and insists the team must focus on themselves and take care of their own business.
On playing against West Brom as a Wolves fan
“As a Wolves fan, I’m just really looking forward to it. I know it’s going to be really tough and probably physical, but I’m looking forward to it.
“You prepare as well as you can and give everything in all games, but it just gives it that little edge (being a derby).
“I’ve played against the Albion a few times previously for other clubs, but playing for Wolves against West Brom is quite special when you’ve been a Wolves fan all your life.”

On wanting to put in a performance
“We’re really focused and looking forward to it. We can all agree that we were disappointed with the performance last Sunday.
“We want to put it right on Sunday, score some goals and most importantly, take all three points.”
On taking care of their own business
“Every three points is massive for us this season looking at the league, the teams within it and what we want to achieve.
“There are going to be teams that take points off each other this season. All we can do is concentrate on ourselves one game at a time.
“This week’s Albion so we’ll be turning up to do our job on the day and worry about the rest when it comes to us.
“Obviously you keep an eye on what’s going on around you, but ultimately it’s just concentrating on our task.”
