Dan McNamara’s side face a local battle against Stourbridge under the lights at Telford, in a midweek FA Women’s National League fixture.
Newly-promoted Stourbridge were runaway winners of Division One Midlands last season, winning 17 of their 22 games and finishing 12 points better off than Doncaster Rovers Belles in second.
The Glassgirls endured a difficult opening day fixture away at Nottingham Forest, which saw the home side win by seven, but they have responded well since.
After winning 4-1 against York to progress into the FAWNL Cup, Stourbridge then collected their first tier three point in a 3-3 draw at Halifax on Sunday.
Last season, Wolves and Stourbridge met in the Birmingham County Cup final at Molineux as an Amber Hughes double and a third from Jade Cross ensured the Old Gold were winners of the competition for the second successive season.
McNamara’s side will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign on Wednesday, which has already seen four points taken from the first two games, alongside progression in the cup.

WHAT THE MANAGER SAID
“We’ll make sure we’re ready, but we know it’s going to be tough. It’s under the lights and everyone loves night games, so we’re making sure we’re prepared for that.
“We want to make sure that we can get seven from nine and that will tee up a fabulous start to what will be a really difficult campaign. In order to do that, we need to make sure we’re focused, make sure we’re giving Stourbridge the respect that they deserve and hopefully the girls will perform again and we can take some more points.”
