Wolves Women return to league action on Sunday afternoon with a trip to face Burnley.
The Clarets were one of the title chasers last time out and finished just two points behind Wolves and eventual champions Nottingham Forest.
Like Dan McNamara’s side, they got off to a winning start on the opening league weekend with a 3-2 victory at Liverpool Feds.
Wolves’ unbeaten start in all competition is on the line for the trip to the Lancashire FA’s County Ground, with a 100% record currently in place.
Wolves were 2-1 winners at Derby County on opening day, before last Sunday’s 11-1 rout over Donny Belles ensured progression into the FAWNL Cup. However, Burnley were unable to defeat Newcastle United on the road as the Magpies edged a five-goal thriller by three goals to two after extra time.
In this fixture last season, the Old Gold took all three points in a 2-1 success thanks to goals from Amber Hughes and Anna Morphet.
