U21 preview | Middlesbrough vs Wolves

Wolves under-21s face their second away game in the space of a week as they travel to Middlesbrough on Friday evening.

Please note, due to Premier League broadcasting restrictions, Friday evening’s Premier League 2 fixture with Middlesbrough will not be live streamed.

The youngsters are still looking for their first point of the new campaign following narrow defeats against Fulham and Stoke City so far.

A 2-1 loss at St. George’s Park on Monday evening means that James Collins’ side, like Middlesbrough, are awaiting a first win.

Boro, under the guidance of Mark Tinkler, have started their season off with two successive 2-2 draws.

Nottingham Forest twice came from behind on the opening day to deny Middlesbrough, before Everton scored deep into stoppage time to claim a share of the spoils last Friday.

Wolves will be without the suspended Josh Esen and Harvey Griffiths for this evening’s clash, with the duo receiving red cards in the opening two games.
