U21 preview | Tottenham vs Wolves

The JobServe Community Stadium in Colchester is the venue as Wolves under-21s travel to face Tottenham Hotspur on Good Friday.

In a battle between two of the bottom three teams in PL2, points for either side will be crucial in the battle to avoid the drop.

Spurs currently occupy the final relegation spot with 20 points from their 21 games so far this season.

Meanwhile, Wolves are just one point and one place above in 12th, with both teams having a game in hand on Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United who sit just ahead.

In the reverse fixture back in October, the old gold took all three points following a clinical performance at the New Bucks Head.

Goals from Tyler Roberts, Alfie Pond (2) and Jack Hodnett saw Wolves four goals to the good inside just 34 minutes. Spurs pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time through Jaden Williams, but the points headed the way of the home side.

Friday afternoon’s fixture marks the first of an Easter weekend double header for the 21s, who host Everton at Aggborough on Easter Monday.
