U21 preview | Wolves vs Liverpool

Wolves under-21s host Liverpool in Premier League 2 on Friday evening.

The Reds travel to Aggborough currently sitting sixth in the PL2 table, while Wolves are eight points behind in 11th.

The old gold have been out of action for a week, with Monday’s fixture at Tottenham postponed due to a frozen pitch.

James Collins’ side have been successful in the Premier League Cup over the last couple of months, qualifying for the round of 16 where a home tie against Stoke City awaits.

However, the team are without a PL2 victory since October, so will be keen to put three points on the board and progress up the table.

Liverpool themselves are looking to get back on the winning trail. They were narrowly beaten by Crystal Palace last time out and have lost their last three league encounters.

In the reverse fixture back in October, it was the Reds who were celebrating after putting five past Wolves, with Leyton Stewart stealing the headlines with a hat-trick.
