The old gold finished second in Group C of the northern section behind Port Vale, meaning an away tie was guaranteed in the knockout stages.
Meanwhile, Man Utd were winners of Group G after picking up seven points in their group with Barrow, Fleetwood Town and Carlisle United.
One of four possibilities were available to Wolves, who beat Shrewsbury Town and Port Vale in the group stage, with each regional section split into two draws. The potential opponents included Lincoln City, Grimsby Town and Burton Albion, but it’s a trip to the Red Devils in the second round for the youngsters.
The round of 32 ties will take place week commencing Monday 21st November, with full details to be confirmed in due course.
