Marshall Munetsi says it was imperative Wolves got back to winning ways at Molineux, so was delighted with Saturday’s victory over Watford.
Adam Armstrong scored the only goal before the break, and although Cesar Peixoto would have preferred more goals, after two games without a win on home soil, the victory was the important thing.
The Zimbabwe international impressed in a midfield with Andre and Jordan James, and now hopes the success gives the Old Gold momentum towards their overall aim this season.
On a big three points
“I think it's a massive three points for us, with the ambition that we have for this season. I think playing at home it’s always important for us to get all the points that we can. The guys really knew that we needed to have the intensity, we needed to be also efficient in front of goal, and also to get a clean sheet. That was very important for us.”
On a battle out there
“It was tough, but obviously you have to get a win. Playing with the wind in the first half helped us a lot, especially when we're attacking, and I think in the second half, obviously, it was making a bit against us, but the most important thing for us to do was to get a win after dropping points the previous game, especially having three games at home, it was important to make sure we maximised that.”

On a different midfield
“I think we really have good combinations, no matter who plays. This is the message from the manager, we have to make sure that if you have 45 minutes in your legs, you’re using everything, unfortunately, Fer was not ready to play today. James came in, and me and Andre combined with him very well, and I think you could see the intensity when we're pressing. We have a really strong midfielder, so no matter who plays, I think we must try to win every game.
“That's one of his greatest qualities, he gives us a lot of stability, even when James plays, when Fer plays, we know we have the license to go forward, knowing that Andre is behind. Even with the goal scored, you saw how he gives the balance with the ball he played to ‘Tripps’. Without the ball, the manager demands a lot for him to make sure that we have that stability, especially to stop all the transitions of the opponents will be trying to play.”
On being unlucky not to score
“It was one of those days where we did our best in the first half, and on another date it could have been a three or four scoreline before half-time, but the most important thing is we scored. ‘Arma’ came in and he was massive for us today, so I think as a team, we did enough to collect the three points. We are happy for us and for the supporters.”

On the busy schedule
“It's tough, and I think you can see it was very difficult with the three-week international break. Some of us who have to travel very far, and we had some tough games for the AFCON qualifiers. Having international players, it does have an impact on the players and also the manager, he tries to give us a bit of a rest. These two days that we’ll get [after Watford] will allow us to be ready for the next game.”
