Danny Alcock has become the latest new member of Rob Edwards’ coaching staff, joining the club as goalkeeper coach.
The 41-year-old moves to Molineux having recently left Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah and previously worked with Old Gold head coach Edwards while at the Football Association.
A goalkeeper during his playing days with the likes of Stoke City and Barnsley, Alcock has been coaching since 2011, having started out with Stoke’s academy.
It was during three years at St George’s Park as national goalkeeping coach where Alcock joined forces with Edwards, before he spent more than two years leading the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper department.
Last season Alcock served as a first-team coach at Leicester City and had a brief spell in interim charge of the first-team, while also leading the whole goalkeeper department.
During the summer he became a goalkeeper expert consultant at the UEFA, which he maintained whilst serving as head of goalkeeping at Al-Qadsiah in recent months.
Alcock is added to Edwards’ coaching staff alongside Harry Watling and Paul Trollope, who joined the club as assistant head coaches recently.
