All Around The World | David Moller Wolfe

In what is a World Cup season, David Moller Wolfe discusses the greatest football show on earth before taking readers on his favourite travels around the globe.

First World Cup memories

The first thing that pops to mind was 2010 when Spain won the World Cup. I was living in Spain in that moment, and I remember we watched the game in a restaurant in Albir and when Iniesta scored everyone went crazy, jumped in the water… everything. That’s the first – and best – memory I have.

Favourite goal

It would probably have been one of Messi’s in the recent World Cup in Qatar. I would say when he scored the goal to make it 3-2 against France in extra time.

Watching World Cups

Normally, I watch the World Cup matches with friends. If I’m in Norway then we meet up with my friends and watch it there, but if I’m not in Norway then I watch them at home with my family.

Playing at one

That’s the dream of every kid. I feel like if I’ve done that then I’ve kind of completed my life! Of course, I’ve got to stay hungry after that also, but I think that is the main goal of every football player – to play for your country in a World Cup would be amazing.

Last country visited

During the last summer I went first to Marbella with my friends and my family still have the house in Spain where I lived when I was young, so I always go there for a minimum of two weeks, and I took my girlfriend with me this time. It’s always my favourite place to go.

First holiday abroad

I moved to Spain when I was three years old, so that is my first memory I have of being somewhere that wasn’t Norway. Spain still feels like home to me.

Favourite trip

It’s Spain again! There’s a lot of Spain in my answers, but my house in Spain brings back so many happy memories from my childhood. It’s the place that I go where I can really relax and get away from the world. When I get to the house and I go out in the garden, I feel the weight drop off from my shoulders and I feel 20 kilos lighter. It’s my favourite place to go, for sure.

Bucket list

I’d like to go to Lisbon in Portugal. Me and my girlfriend talk about it every summer, but then something else comes up and we’ve never been able to go, but hopefully we can go this summer after the World Cup.
