It’s a midweek trip to the City Ground up next for Wolves, who are still searching for a first Premier League win away from home this season. Here’s all you need to know before Wednesday night's game.
1 | Roll Call
Wolves were dealt an injury blow in the first half of Saturday’s defeat to Chelsea, after Hee Chan Hwang was forced off early, and Rob Edwards confirmed the Korean is set to miss the next few weeks at least as he undergoes a scan. Andre missed out on the weekend’s clash with the Blues due to a minor calf issue, but the midfielder is to take a late fitness test ahead of Wednesday evening to see if he'll be available to face Forest, while Toti remains unavailable for the trip to the City Ground as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Sean Dyche will have Neco Williams back available after the defender was suspended for Friday’s 3-1 loss to Leeds United, however, the Forest boss will still be without long-term absentees John Victor and Chris Wood as the pair recover from knee injuries. Former Wolves defender Willy Boly will also not be playing for the rest of the season after being left out of Forest’s 25-man squad, while Wednesday’s visit of Wolves is like to come too soon for Matz Sels and Nicolo Savona to get back on the pitch. However, Brazilian defender Murillo is due to take a late fitness test ahead of the midweek clash after missing the Leeds defeat with a calf issue.

3 | Route to Wednesday
Wolves have lost their last three in the Premier League going into Wednesday, but took positives from all three outings which they’ll be aiming to put into a more complete performance. The Old Gold were punished for their errors at the back against Chelsea on Saturday, meaning a positive second half and another goal for Tolu Arokodare counted for little. That reverse followed back-to-back 2-0 losses to Manchester City and Bournemouth. Wolves’ latest point in the Premier League came after a goalless draw at home to Newcastle United last month.
Forest’s 3-1 defeat to Leeds United on Friday night opened up to the door for West Ham United to close the gap at the bottom, with Sean Dyche’s side now just three points above the drop zone. Last time at the City Ground, they led against Crystal Palace, but a Neco Williams red card allowed the Eagles to take a share of the spoils. Forest, who beat Ferencvaros impressively in the Europa League recently, last won in the Premier League towards the end of January, coming away from Brentford with a 2-0 victory.

4 | Cup progress at the City Ground
Wolves’ last victory away at Nottingham Forest came in 2021, and in a Carabao Cup second round tie.
Forest were in the Championship at the time, and held Bruno Lage’s side to a goalless first-half, with Daniel Podence striking the woodwork.
The breakthrough finally arrived when Romain Saiss fired in off the crossbar for 1-0, and two minutes later Podence had his goal to put Wolves in a comfortable position.
In the closing stages Francisco Trincao converted his first goal for the club, before Morgan Gibbs-White rounded off the scoring against the side he now represents.
Forest | Horvath, Fernandes, Back, Harbottle, Colback, Garner (Cafu 73), Fornah, Hammond (Mighten 73), Konate, Richardson, Grabban (Taylor 61).
Wolves | Ruddy, Hoever, Coady, Kilman, Saiss, Ait-Nouri (Adama 82), Moutinho, Dendoncker, Podence (Trincao 66), Gibbs-White, Silva (Cundle 89).
