Adam Armstrong pitched up at Molineux having scored goals across his career with the likes of Blackburn Rovers and Southampton. Below, wolves.co.uk delves into the key milestones during the striker's career to date.

15th March 2014 | Armstrong’s senior debut arrived in the Premier League, as a substitute in Newcastle United’s trip to Craven Cottage in 2014. He replaced Luuk de Jong for one of four appearances he made during his debut campaign in first-team football with his hometown club.

31st March 2014 | Armstrong represented six different England youth sides, up to under-21 level. Here he’s seen celebrating scoring in an Under-17 Euros qualifier against Italy in the Czech Republic. He last represented the Three Lions in 2018.

17th November 2017 | During his early years, Armstrong completed four loan spells away from St James’ Park. After impressing at Coventry City in League One, and stepping up to the Championship with Barnsley, he continued his development at Bolton Wanderers, before moving to Blackburn Rovers, where his loan would become permanent.

25th September 2018 | During his loan spell at Ewood Park, Armstrong helped Blackburn back into the Championship, where his move became permanent. Seen celebrating against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup, Armstrong played regularly as Rovers remained a Championship club.

19th September 2020 | The 2020/21 campaign was the best of Armstrong’s career, as he netted 29 times in all competitions. The striker his three hat-tricks that season against Wycombe Wanderers (pictured), Huddersfield Town and Birmingham City.

14th August 2021 | His Blackburn form earned Armstrong a first move to the Premier League, joining Southampton for a reported £15m. The day after signing he scored his first Premier League goal away at Everton.

3rd September 2022 | Armstrong has played five times at Molineux. Here he’s pictured in action with Ruben Neves in 2022 – a game which the Old Gold won 1-0.

26th May 2024 | Following relegation, Armstrong scored 24 times in the 2023/24 campaign to help the Saints bounce back at the first attempt. The striker scored the only goal in the play-off final at Wembley, as Southampton beat Leeds United.

24th November 2024 | The 28-year-old’s latest Premier League goal came in November 2024, as he netted against Liverpool. Southampton would go on to suffer relegation that season, with Armstrong finishing the campaign on loan at West Bromwich Albion.

9th December 2025 | Armstrong’s final goal for the Saints came in December – a brace against West Brom at St Mary’s Stadium. He played his final game against Portsmouth in January and now heads to Molineux.
