Mane broke the record with his neat finish to help Wolves run out 3-0 winners against West Ham United in the opening Premier League clash of the new year, finding the net at the age of 18 years, three months and 18 days.
The England youth international is one of only four teenagers to have scored for the Old Gold in the Premier League, while he is also one of 20 players to have found the back of the net in the competition for Wolves under the age of 24.
