After Sunday’s FA Cup joy for Wolves, attention flips back to the Premier League this midweek, which means an FPL deadline is upon us.
Last time out…
Jose Sa (£5m) | Clean sheets: 3 | Next three: MNU (H), CHE (A), BRE (H)
Down at the Amex, Jose Sa top scored for Wolves, after picking up a clean sheet. The Old Gold number one claimed four points for the clean sheet, two for playing and both a bonus and save point. He has back-to-back clean sheets in all competitions, as well as in the Premier League, and is owned by 1.4% of managers. Nelson Semedo and Matt Doherty claimed six each at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Jason Steele (£4.2m) | Clean sheets: 2 | Next three: LUT (A), CRY (H), TOT (A)
Like Wolves, Brighton had their goalkeeper lead the way for points last Monday. Jason Steele kept Wolves at bay, keeping a clean sheet and claiming the maximum amount of bonus points. He’s been picked by 2.1% of managers and faces seven fixtures rated three or less on the difficulty rating. Like Sa, he has back-to-back clean sheets in the Premier League, after the Seagulls also kept West Ham United out.
This week…
Matt Doherty (£4.3m) | Goals: 1 | Assists: 0 | Next three: MNU (H), CHE (A), BRE (H)
Matt Doherty has been enjoying a run of form in Gary O’Neil’s side of late and is producing the goods. A goal scorer off the bench against Chelsea, which earned him eight FPL points, the Irishman helped Wolves to a clean sheet at Brighton, scooping six points. Having also played the last three FA Cup games, Doherty starred on Sunday, providing the assist for Pedro Neto and playing his part in another clean sheet. Selected by 0.2% of managers, he’s a differential option.

The Dane bagged against Newport County in the FA Cup on Sunday and is expected to lead the line at Molineux once again. He costs £6.8m and is in 3.5% of teams on FPL.
