Wolves still in contention for playoffs

It has been a tough start to the new Rainbow Six Siege season, but Wolves are still in contention to secure a place in the playoffs.

Monday saw the pack take on Team Secret. Like the match with KOI the week before, it was neck and neck all the way to overtime where, eventually, the Wolves missed out on bringing home the two points.

It was a shock considering how poorly Team Secret performed last season and how consistently well Wolves performed. However, this is a new season, new teams, new players and new strats which means anything can happen.

Which it did.

All was not lost, Wolves walked away with one point to take their tally to two for the group stage so far.

Next up was Wylde on Tuesday.

Wylde have proven a force to be reckoned with since joining the European League this season. They won all three of their matches in regulation time and came into this fixture on fire and the Wolves could not douse those flames.

Wylde showed why they were in first place with a dominating performance which ended 7-3 in favour of the newcomers.

With three losses, two in overtime and one in regulation, it’s no secret Wolves can be classed as underperforming especially considering the sheer amount of talent they have in the squad.

However, all is not lost!

With the two losses in overtime, it means Wolves have two points and are level with Team Secret and KOI going into the final week of games in the group stage. Wylde and MNM Gaming are qualified already but the third playoff spot is still up for grabs.

Wolves play MNM Gaming in the last match of the group stage and it is a matchup both teams know all too well.

The team are back in the lab, training and preparing for a big game next week.

Next up – MNM Gaming on 27 March at 20:15 GMT // 21:15 CET.
