Premier League Mornings Live heading to Kansas

Wolves are heading stateside this weekend as part of the Premier League Mornings Live in Kansas City, with fans across the pond gathering for a two-day fan festival.

Old Gold fan favourite Michael Kightly will be joining Wolves staff in Missouri for the weekend, spending time with supporters and taking part in a host of activities across both days of the event – Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September.

Before the weekend kicks off, Wolves staff will be heading to Guy Fieri’s Dive Bar & Taco Joint between 3-6pm on Friday for anyone arriving in the City that day. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet the team, chat about the event and get ready for a huge weekend of football.

At 9am on Saturday morning, the Wolves party will watch the Old Gold’s Premier League match with Leeds United on a giant screen, flying the gold and black flag and supporting Vitor Pereira’s team from afar.

Supporters can get their hands on exclusive Wolves merchandise and prizes throughout the event, before returning to Guy Fieri’s Dive Bar & Taco Joint with Kightly for a special post-match Q&A from 11am, immediately after the match.

Wolves’ connection to Kansas City goes back decades. In the 1960s, the club toured the United States and played as the Kansas City Spurs, helping to introduce football to American audiences and laying the foundations for the sport’s growth in the country.

This historic link makes Wolves’ return to Kansas City for Premier League Mornings Live even more special, connecting past and present as Wolves fans gather to celebrate the club on American soil once again.

Kightly represented the more than 120 times between 2007 and 2013, playing a starring role in the 2009 promotion to the Premier League, and the Molineux favourite is now set to meet supporters from across the Atlantic Ocean.

He said: “Wolves fans are incredible wherever you go, so to meet the gold and black army in Kansas City is going to be really special. I can’t wait to watch the game with everyone, share some stories and hopefully celebrate a Wolves win together.”

Premier League Mornings Live is about more than watching the game, it’s about bringing fans together, celebrating what makes Wolves unique and making supporters feel part of something special, wherever they are in the world.
