Jota tribute programme now available

A commemorative matchday programme, dedicated to the memory of Diogo Jota, has been produced for Wolves’ Premier League opener against Manchester City this weekend.

Saturday’s game is the first competitive Old Gold fixture since the tragic passing of Jota and his brother Andre Silva, and a 100-page programme is wrapped with a touching tribute to both.

Expertly designed by Ed Robinson, the Jota commemorative cover is matched inside with the first 48 pages dedicated to the club legend and now Hall of Fame member, through a series of tributes, interviews and features into his career.

Inside, head of first-team medical services Rui Fuste – a good friend of Jota’s – gives his memories of working alongside his fellow Portuguese, as do matchday commentator Mikey Burrows and historian Clive Corbett.

There are journeys through his Wolves career, looking at every one of his many goals and assists, and a series of pictures which you may never have seen before from behind-the-scenes.

Further tributes from those who played with Jota at Wolves are included in the programme, which will be available ahead of a matchday which will pay tribute to the brothers before kick-off (more information here).

Later into the programme, we hear from Vitor Pereira and the Wolves squad ahead of the new Premier League season, while hosts Man City are, naturally, covered in the away section, however Jota and Silva provide the main focus for this tribute programme.

As always, the programme will be available from in and around Molineux on Saturday, with card payments accepted, while it is also available online by clicking here.
