Matchday guide | Wolves vs RC Lens

Wolves host Ligue 1 side RC Lens at Walsall’s Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium on Wednesday evening [7.30pm kick-off] in their latest test of pre-season.

The fixture is Wolves’ first on West Midlands soil of the summer, after a trip to Stoke City on Saturday, and supporters have until 5pm on Tuesday 29th July to secure their seat, with more information available here.

Ticket availability: Limited tickets for this fixture are still available online through the Wolves Ticket website below, however these will go off sale on Tuesday at 5pm: https://www.eticketing.co.uk/wolves/

Tickets will also be available on the turnstiles at the ground on the evening of the game, sales for these will be card only.

Ticket delivery: All tickets for this fixture will be delivered as Print At Home tickets.

If outside of the opening hours, please visit the home club’s ticket office at the stadium, however the home club will not always be able to assist and we strongly recommend contacting Wolves prior to this where possible.

Kit

The fixture will provide the first use of the club’s new 2025/26 turquoise away kit. The strip was revealed via wolves.co.uk last week and will be debuted at Walsall on Wednesday.

Train: The nearest train station is Bescot Railway Station, which is 0.3 miles away from the stadium.

Coach & Bus: No official coach travel provided by the club for this fixture.

Driving: A454 East from Wolverhampton, postcode for the stadium is: WS1 4SA.

Parking: Official parking is available through Walsall’s ticketing website from around £9.

Travel disruption

Due to engineering works on the rail network, the Wolves – Walsall service will run only between Wolves and Birmingham, with rail replacement buses to Walsall. Rugeley services will call at Bescot Stadium, but regular Bescot services will not.

There will also be a closure on M6 J9 roundabout including exits from, and accesses to, the motorway to facilitate resurfacing work from 22:00 hrs. Road diversion will be place.

We advise checking ahead of travelling for any further disruption and allowing extra time.

Stadium guide

Seating area: Wolves supporters will be located across the Pallet-Track Stand and the Poundland Stand.

The Locker (£2 entry): The best place to grab a drink before a game.

Turnstile location: Turnstiles for away supporters are located in the Pallet-Track Stand and the Poundland Stand. Please ask nearby stewards if you are unsure of where you will need to enter the ground.

Turnstiles opening time: Turnstiles are due to open at 6.30pm (around 60 minutes prior to kick-off). Please note, in some instances there can be delays to opening turnstiles.  

The Locker: Wolves supporters will be able to use The Locker located to the South West of the stadium. Entry is £2 per supporter, and doors will open from 5pm. Serving a range of food (such as samosas, pies and baps) along with a range of soft, hot and alcoholic drinks.

Flags/banners: Anyone looking to bring a flag or banner to a Walsall FC game should email safety@walsallfc.co.uk for prior consent.

Bag policy: Please avoid bringing bags to avoid delays on entry.
