FPL MD21 | Time for Neto to return?

Fantasy Premier League returns on Friday, with the Premier League stretching across two weekends due to the winter break, and wolves.co.uk provides some transfer options.

Last time out…

Craig Dawson (£4.1m) | Goals: 1 | Assists: 0 | Next three: BHA (A), MNU (H), CHE (A)

Craig Dawson chose Wolves’ final outing of 2023 to claim his biggest FPL haul of the season against Everton. The defender claimed 14 points – six for scoring, four for the clean sheet, two for playing and two for bonus points. The 33-year-old will hope to be back available for the Brighton & Hove Albion trip, where he’ll look to reward his managers by adding to his 50-point haul for the campaign.

Jordan Pickford (£4.5m) | Clean sheets: 6 | Next three: AVL (H), FUL (A), TOT (H)

Despite conceding three goals at Molineux, Jordan Pickford was one of five Everton players to leave Molineux with two FPL points. That’s because the goalkeeper made four saves, which earned him a saves point, alongside his singular match point. He’s kept six clean sheets so far this season and is back at Goodison Park where Everton have been strong this season, as they welcome Aston Villa.

Next up…

Pedro Neto (£5.6m) | Goals: 1 | Assists: 8 | Next three: BHA (A), MNU (H), CHE (A)

After two lively showings off the bench since recovering from injury, is it time to get Pedro Neto back in your team? Still second on the assist charts, despite missing two months of the season, after he provided eight pre-injury. The Portuguese set up Tommy Doyle for the equaliser in the FA Cup last week and might be eyeing a start come Brighton. 1.6% of FPL managers have retained his services.

Jan Paul van Hecke (£4m) | Clean sheets: 1 | Next three: WOL (H), LUT (A), CRY (H)

Surprisingly, Brighton only kept their first clean sheet of the season last time out against West Ham United. Both Jan Paul van Hecke and Luke Steele took eight points from that 0-0 draw. The defender is priced at just £4m and is given seven green fixtures out of eight on the FPL difficulty scale. He's selected by just 2.1% of managers so could provide a differential option.
