Wolves Weekly | Ricketts and Hakeman review Leeds and women's derby day win

Former Wolves captain Sam Ricketts and Wolves Women defender Claire Hakeman reflect on all the news from across the club on the latest edition of the revamped Wolves Weekly podcast.

On this week’s 40-minute episode, Ricketts and Hakeman joined host Mikey Burrows to review what went wrong during Saturday's defeat for the men's first-team against Leeds United, which left Julen Lopetegui's side just three points clear of the relegation zone.

The trio also discussed an extraordinary 73 minutes for Kam Kandola in the under-21's 5-0 loss against West Ham United on Monday night. After goalkeeper Palmi Arinbjornsson was dismissed early on in the match - and with no substitute keeper on the bench - the defender put on the gloves and stepped in to save the resulting penalty.

As well as all that, Hakeman reflects on a Black Country derby win for Wolves Women after the side claimed a 3-1 victory at the Hawthorns, with the teams set to go head to head once again on Sunday in the Birmingham County Cup at Keys Park.

Wolves Weekly is available on demand via the Wolves App, where you will also find a wealth of exclusive gold and black content.
