Ernie Hunt | 1943-2018

Wolves are saddened to learn that former forward Ernie Hunt has passed away at the age of 75.

Hunt, who was lively and popular character, spent two years at Molineux between 1965 and 1967 and made a significant contribution during his time in gold and black.

His 20 goals during 1966/67 was a club high and helped Wolves earn promotion to the top flight.

A USA International Tournament title in 1967 was also part of his honours list, before Hunt was sold to Everton for £80,000 in September 1967.

During his time at Molineux Hunt made a total of 82 appearances, scoring 35 goals.

Hunt is also well known for spells with Swindon Town and Coventry City, and represented England at Under-23 level during the 1960s.
