Bupyeong 3 (Seo 25, 70+5, Choe 48) Wolves 2 (Salmon 28, Edozie 60)
Despite twice coming from behind, Wolves under-17s were beaten by Bupyeong in their final group game of the International Youth Cup.
Eungang Seo struck two free-kicks, including one with the last kick of the game to secure the points.
Fabian Salmon and substitute Tom Edozie pulled Wolves level on two occasions, but they counted for nothing when Seo scored five minutes into stoppage time.
Richard Walker made four changes to the team who beat Tokyo Verdy on Thursday, including a return from suspension for skipper Hayden Carson.
The Old Gold were first to threaten after just seven minutes as Conor McLeod picked out Alfie White down the right. The ball into the box then evaded everyone in the centre, before Minkyu Ji could only fire into the side netting.
McLeod then saw a free-kick saved, before Bupyeong scored with one of their own. Seo stepped up and curled his set-piece from the edge of the box into the net and past George Hardy.
However, Wolves fought back and were level just three minutes later. Following a fantastic driving run in midfield from Luke Rawlings, Salmon was fed and struck across goal with his right boot and into the far corner.
There was a favourable opening on the stroke of half-time as Brayden Clarke headed over from McLeod’s free-kick, but the teams went in level.
Half-time | Bupyeong 1-1 Wolves
Walker made a triple change at the break, with Wes Okoduwa, Tom Edozie and Makenzie Bradbury all on for Wolves.
Josh Nyakudya showed some bright sparks early into the second period and after a tricky run into the box, there was no one there in the centre to take advantage.
At the other end, Bupyeong regained the lead after substitute Giyeong Choe ghosted in at the back post to head home from a cross.
After the second water break, Wolves levelled for a second time after Salmon did well to win the first contact, before Edozie skipped inside his man and struck low into the bottom corner from just outside the area.
That gave the Old Gold some momentum and after Rawlings fired narrowly over, substitute Dom Plank began to make an impact and saw an effort saved by the legs of Taesung Lee.
Plank tried his luck again with a neat solo run and shot that was gathered by Lee, before Clarke nodded wide at the back post from a Bradbury corner.
Then, five minutes into stoppage time, Bupyeong snatched all three points as Seo scored his second free-kick with the help of the inside of the post.
