Wolves Sign Young Goalkeeper

Wolves have signed highly-rated Danish youngster, Andreas Sóndergaard, from Odense Boldklub for an undisclosed fee.

The 17-year old arrives at Molineux on a two-and-a-half year deal and will join up with Scott Sellars’ Under 23 squad.

Sóndergaard has represented Denmark at a number of age levels, with his most recent appearances coming with the U17s as the national squad made it through the first round of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifiers.

Odense Boldklub has a history of producing talented goalkeepers, with Burnley stopper, Anders Lindegaard, one of many who have made it through the ranks at the Danish club.

Sporting Director, Kevin Thelwell, believes the young goalkeeper will be a welcome addition to the talented crop of young players at Wolves.

He said: “The club has got a long and strong tradition of developing young goalkeepers and we see Andreas to be no different in maintaining that successful line.

“He’s a very tall boy and he’s going to develop all of the physical attributes to become a top goalkeeper and he’s technically excellent.

“We hope the attributes are going to stand him in good stead for a positive future at the club."

Everyone at Wolves would like to welcome Andreas to the club and wish him the best of luck for his time at Molineux.
