Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation, in partnership with EFLT and the University of South Wales, offer students the opportunity to study a three year university degree from Molineux Stadium where students will work towards a BSc Honours in Football Coaching, Development and Administration.

The University Degree provides an opportunity to gain an industry-recognised football coaching degree while being affiliated to a professional and Premier League football club. All students enrolled on the programme will have the opportunity to gain an FA Level 2 qualification.

Students will be based at Molineux for the duration of the degree whilst receiving the opportunity to support a range of projects through Wolves Foundation to enhance and enrich their learning experience. All students travel to the University of South Wales twice a year as part of the programme to experience student life and to complete practical assessments.

Students will learn about children and youth coaching, football coaching, football development, social inclusion, and sports management skills. All will be based predominantly within the football club, with a minimum of five days per year at the USW Sport Park, the £3.7m state-of-the-art coaching and performance development centre.

There will be further opportunity to apply knowledge gained with an extensive work-based learning programme provided by Wolves Foundation, working within specific roles and real life football projects.

Students who have graduated from the programme have gone on to have successful careers in the industry including working for the Foundation on a full-time basis as well as becoming qualified teachers.

“Wolves have been an exceptional club in the contribution of students on our course. They have been delivering the programme for three years, with a 100% first-time pass rate completion on all students who have enrolled onto the course.  They provide a well-structured and accessible education programme which supports students undertaking their Foundation Degree and, from recruitment to graduation, they have proved they are supportive every step of the way with some fantastic current student stories and alumni recognition.  There is clear evidence that the Wolves education department provide development both academically and professionally, preparing students for the very competitive football development & coaching industry.” -  Bobby Briers, course leader, University of Wales.
