Main Club Partner
The Money Shop has been on the high street for over 17 years. We provide consumer finance services nationwide in our 230 stores, and online. Our product range includes travel money, prepaid cards, loans, cheque cashing, pawnbroking and gold for cash.
We pride ourselves on our great customer service and customers are at the heart of everything we do. We are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), are members of the Consumer Finance Association (CFA), and comply with responsible lending guidelines.
We believe in giving back to the communities in which we serve, so we are in the process of setting up a number of partnerships with local children’s hospices. Most recently, we partnered with Rainbows hospice, which is dedicated to meeting the needs of children and young people who are affected by life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in the East Midlands.
West Midlands based Acorns Children’s Hospice we have also recently partnered with. A charity open day launched our partnership with Acorns at The Money Shop Wolverhampton store where the Acorns mascot attended and the newly signed Wolves player Silvio Manuel Pereira made an appearance.
Helen and Douglas House we have partnered with for a number of years and to date we have raised over £500,000. We carry out regular fundraising events to help raise money to put towards the variety of services they offer babies, children, teenagers and young adults, their families and carers who are affected by life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
This year, we have also launched a £25,000 charitable giving fund which will support good causes and local projects in communities around the UK. Three charities that have benefited from the fund are Lisburn 2gether Special Olympics Club who received £1000, Shopmobility Lisburn and Community Circus Lisburn who received £500 each. Following our Lisburn store re-opening in a new location, customers – during their visit over the months of August and September – had the opportunity to pick their preferred charity out of the three. Representatives from each charity attended a specially organised event on Wednesday 5th October to collect their cheques, which were presented by Stuart Howard, CEO of The Money Shop and Dollar UK, and other board members.
The Money Shop has been a proud sponsor of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC since 2009 when we first sponsored the Sir Jack Hayward Stand. The 2016/2017 season has seen us agree a three year main club sponsorship deal with them, and The Money Shop’s branding can be seen throughout the Wolves stadium, on the first team, reserve team, official ladies first team and disabled first team home and away shirts plus on all technical training kits.
