Wolves present their 2019 Asia Trophy gifts, as created by Allister Malcolm, who is trained in glass design at the University of Wolverhampton.
Graduating over 22 years ago, Allister then launched his own business designing and making his own glassware.
Specialising in hot glass techniques, Allister uses traditional glassmaking skills to hand craft each piece to an impeccable standard of finish.
Using lead crystal, this glass is shaped by hand at over 1,000 degrees centigrade.
He has developed his craft to master complex patterning effects and combine these with beautiful forms.
His work has become highly collectible as his unique designs have attracted huge attention across the country with calls to exhibit internationally too.
He is now the resident glass artist at the White House Cone Museum of Glass, based in Stourbridge, the heart of the UK’s glassmaking industry.
Allister’s work can be found in numerous galleries across the UK, and each piece is unique and signed by the artist so that future generations can identify his work.
