Jon Dadi Bodvarsson joined Wolves on a three year deal from FC Kaiserslautern in the summer of 2016.
He arrived off the back of some superb performances for Iceland in the summer’s European Championships, starting all five games – including the memorable victory against England – and scoring the opening goal in the victory against Austria.
In total he had chalked up 25 senior caps prior to joining Wolves, having come through the ranks for Iceland’s Under-19s and Under-21s.
He began his club career with UMF Selfoss in the Icelandic League before joining Viking FK in the Tippeligaen – the top division in Norway - in 2013.
From there he joined Kaiserslautern in Bundesliga 2. Bodvarsson made an instant impression at Molineux, scoring his first goal to equalise in the 2-2 draw with Rotherham on the opening day.
