From Young Wolves member to Young Reporter - Loui Silvani (pictured below) attended the Everton away game. Loui was one of the Young Wolves whose parents or guardians who were quick off the mark in picking up one of the 25 pairs of free tickets open to club members for the clash at Goodison Park.
Wolves came within minutes of a precious away win at GoodisonPark. Both teams had their fair share of chances, with Tim Cahill and Louis Saha shooting over while Kevin Doyle forced a superb save from Tim Howard and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake's shot went agonizingly close. Neither of the teams particularly dominated and half time saw only Everton make a change with Tony Hibbert making way for fit-again Yakubu. Wayne Hennessey was forced into action soon after the second half began, tipping over the bar in style from Louis Saha's header. Hennessey saved Wolves again when he stopped Bilyaletdinov in a one on one situation. In the 76th minute Wolves took a deserved lead after Everton failed to cope with Hennessey's long ball leaving Doyle to slot the ball underneath Howard and into the back of the net. Wolves held on until the 88th minute when Jo's cross found an unmarked Bilyaletdinov to tap home. Doyle had the chance to win it when Matt Jarvis slid the ball through for him but his shot was blocked off by Howard. In injury time, tempers flared when Stefan Maierhofer and Howard clashed in the box. Howard seemed to be angry that Maierhofer had got in his way preventing quick kick up field. He was so infuriated that he hit him on the back of the head. To add to Wolves fan's surprise it was the Austrian who was sent off. The end to a thrilling game, and not without controversy.
