Wolves Women 1 (Selmes 19)
Radcliffe Olympic Ladies 1 (Smith 2)
After last week's home defeat, Wolves Women came back with a draw against Nottingham side Radcliffe Olympic.
Wolves found themselves a goal down after just two minutes at Goodrich after Nicola Smith's shot was deflected over the head of Wolves' keeper Naomi Bruton.
Wolves didn't let the goal affect their gameplan however, and pressed on until they made a breakthrough in the 19th minute.
Some excellent build-up play started from Lynsey Longhurst in defence, with Sally Stanton then finding Amy McCann, whose perfectly judged ball put striker Dani Selmes, pictured, through on goal to finish in style.
Following Wolves' equaliser there were chances at both ends, but the first 45 minutes finished level.
After the break Wolves started to dominate play, winning several corners. In the 64th minute new signing Ashleigh Coley came on for her debut at left-back and showed some promise.
However, despite Wolves' comprehensive possession, they could not find the back of the net, and the game finished 1-1.
Manager James Astle said: "I'm pleased to say we were much improved from last week. I think that result hurt the players - it was our only defeat of the season in the league since the opening game.
"Today the first half was pretty fair between the teams. We slightly changed formation for the second half, and we dominated play - which has more than often been the case here at Goodrich - but it wasn't to be."
* Next Sunday 6th December sees Wolves travel to Crewe.
