Rhinos Slam Dunk £9000 Donation for New Wheelchairs
Local wheelchair-based sports club, Wolverhampton Rhinos, has bagged a £9000 donation from Wolves Aid towards new wheelchairs.
Over the last nine years, Wolverhampton Rhinos have been developing sports sections in paralympic sports. They have well established sports sections in wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby. Wolves Aid's £9000 donation is set for the Wheelchair basketball team.
Rhinos boast several members of the Great Britain Olympic wheelchair basketball team.
Matt Grayson, trustee of Wolves Aid, said: "Wolverhampton Rhinos are flying the flag for Wolverhampton on the national stage. They are assisting both with developing excellent young paralympic sportspeople as well as driving general particpation in paralympic sports within local schools. We're delighted we can help with this substantial grant."
