The Orchard Centre Get on Their Bikes Courtesy of Wolves Aid

Posted on: Thu 11 Jun 2009

The Orchard Centre pupil referral unit has taken delivery of an additional 'X-Bike' courtsey of Wolves' official charity, Wolves Aid.

Wolves' players, Sam Vokes and George Friend visited the school in Great Bricklinn Street to see how the 100 youngsters were making use of the bikes. The pupils will use the equipment for about 10 minutes each day.

Wolves Aid has donated £1200 towards the cost of the exercise equipment.

George said: "Any exercise is good and if the children can use equipment which keeps them interested that can only be beneficial."

Headteacher, Jo Wood, said: "These bikes will make a real difference to the young people's health. Once again, we'd like to say a big thank you to Wolves Aid for their support."

Wolves Aid is the biggest charity of its type in football, donating thousands to local charities every year. For more information visit: www.wolves-aid.co.uk or the club section of Wolves' official website.
