Adlene Guedioura arrived on loan from RSC Charleroi in the January transfer window of 2010.

Within 24 hours he was on the bench and came on for his first team debut in the 0-0 draw with Liverpool.

He then made an impressive first start in Wolves colours in the 1-0 win over Tottenham in February.

Born in France, Guedioura's father Nacer was an international player for Algeria while his mother was a Spanish basketball player.

He began his professional career with French Third Division club Union Sportive Créteil-Lusitanos, playing for several other clubs before joining Charleroi in the top division in Belgium.

He arrived at Molineux just a few days after winger Geoffrey Mujangi Bia made the same loan move from Charleroi.

In his first half season he made seven starts and seven appearances from the bench, scoring his first goal - the winner - in the final day 2-1 win against Sunderland at Molineux.

To top off the celebrations, it was then revealed Wolves had taken up the option to make Guedioura's move permanent, and he put pen to paper on a three-year contract.

He also then declared his desire to follow in his father's footsteps and represent Algeria, and appeared as substitute in all three group games at the 2010 World Cup, including the 0-0 draw with England.

A bright start to the 2010/11 season largely as an impact substitute came to a sad end against Aston Villa in September as he fractured his tibia in a challenge, ruling him out until returning to the side at Everton in April, 2011.

He made ten appearances in total for the campaign, the highlight of which came with scoring in the 3-1 Black Country derby win against West Bromwich Albion which proved to pivotal in helping Wolves towards Premier League safety.
