Segundo Castillo checked in at Wolves on a season-long loan in August, 2009, with the club having an option to make the deal permanent at the end of his stay.

The experienced Ecuadorian international midfielder already has experience of the Barclays Premier League, having spent the 2008/098 campaign on loan with Everton.

His year at Goodison Park including notching a spectacular goal in a UEFA Cup tie with Standard Liege.

Castillo, whose full name is Segundo Alejandro Castillo Nazareno, began his career in Ecuador with Club Deportivo Espoli and later El Nacional.

He helped El Nacional to back-to-back titles in 2005 and 2006 before joining Red Star Belgrade, again proving a key player - scoring eight goals - as the club stormed to a league and cup double in his debut season.

In total he made 72 appearances for the one-time European champions, scoring 18 goals.

A former team-mate of Nenad Milijaš, Castillo arrived at Molineux with over 40 international appearances under his belt and immediately went off to amass two more in the World Cup qualifiers with Columbia and Bolivia

Unfortunately for Castillo however, Ecuador just missed out on qualification for the 2010 tournament.
