Charlie can play can play in a variety of left-sided defensive or midfield positions and he made his debut for Wolves at left-back in the victory over Leeds at Elland Road in September 2006.
The 20-year-old, who spent the latter part of 2005/06 on loan with Dundee United, played 14 times for the Tannadice club, scoring two goals.
His first season at Molineux was dogged by injury which restricted him to handful of appearances. It also thwarted the possibility of earning his first senior Scottish cap.
The jinx struck again early in 2007/08, although he quickly recovered to impress for Scotland under 21s in a home victory against the Czech Republic.
Unable to secure a place in the first team, Charlie is on loan to Southend until the end of the season.
