Andy Keogh could have been a Molineux player much earlier had he not opted to join Leeds instead of Wolves as a trainee.
He left Elland Road for Scunthorpe in January 2005 and went on to form a prolific striking partnership with Billy Sharp.
Although he signed for Wolves in January 2007, his contribution for United earned him a League One Championship medal.
Keogh made the move to Wolverhampton for an initial fee of £600,000 and signed a three and a half year deal.
He made his senior debut for Ireland against Ecuador in May 2007, and scored his first senior goal for his country in a 1-1 draw with Serbia in May, 2008, which later earned him the FAI Player of the Year award.
An ever-willing and reliable striker whose team-mates are always quick to laud his efforts, Keogh once again played in several positions across the front line as Wolves clinched the Championship title in 2008/09.
Appearing in 42 of the 46 league games, the clear highlight was his two-goal salvo at Derby on Easter Monday in which the late headed winner pushed Wolves to the brink of promotion.
He then made history at the start of the 2009/10 season, his goal at Wigan earning Wolves their first ever away win in the Barclays Premier League.
After already showing he could operate in English football's top flight, Keogh suffered an unfortunate ankle injury in training in December, 2009, which required surgery.
He did return over the second half of the campaign to make four substitute appearances.
