Wolves completed the signing of Rob Edwards whilst the squad were away on the pre-season tour of Norway in July 2004.
The defender moved across the West Midlands from Aston Villa in search of regular first team football, signing a three-year deal worth up to £225,000.
He spent spells on loan at Crystal Palace and Derby County in 2003/04 after breaking into Villa's first team the previous season.
A Welsh international, Rob was born in Telford but both his parents originate from North Wales.
He suffered an ankle injury shortly after his arrival at Molineux that kept him out of action for six months but he quickly established himself when he made his comeback.
Rob had been enjoying a good 2006/07 campaign until it was brought to an abrupt end in April with knee ligament problems.
