Central defender Darren Ward signed a three-year contract at Wolves after moving from Selhurst Park for an undisclosed fee in summer 2007.

The London-born 29-year-old began his senior career with Watford in the 1995/96 season and he was to play 67 times for the Hornets, including some Premiership fixtures, plus a further 15 games with Queens Park Rangers whilst on loan in 1999/2000, before a £500,000 switch to Millwall in 2003.

Darren was a member of the Millwall team that lost to Manchester United in the 2004 FA Cup Final and he also played for the club in the UEFA Cup.

He joined Palace for an initial £1.1 million fee in the summer of 2005 and went on to make 69 appearances for them in his two seasons with the club.

Darren made 32 appearances during his first season at Wolves but was sent out on loan to Watford at the start of the 2008/09 campaign, making nine starts and scoring once in an impressive spell before returning to Molineux.

He then spent the remainder of the season with Charlton before re-joining former club Millwall at the start of the 2009/10 season.
