Tranmere Rovers 2 (Greenacre 14, McAteer 84)
Wolves 2 (Rosa 5, Cort 63)
Wolves were twice pegged back by League One Tranmere in an entertaining friendly at Prenton Park, a deflected equaliser, shortly before the end, denying the Molineux team the win they deserved.
It took Wolves just five minutes to open their account. Hungarian trialist Balasz Molnar fed his international team-mate Denes Rosa to the right of goal and the midfielder smashed a shot into the roof of the net that gave home keeper Gavin Ward no chance.

But Rovers were level in the 14th minute when Kevin Ellison's low cross was allowed to run through to Chris Greenacre who hammered home a shot that Michael Oakes got a hand to, but couldn't keep out.
Daniel Jones, with some neat footwork, beat his marker and squared the ball from the by-line but Ward dived to cut out the cross.
At the other end, Rob Edwards had to boot the ball behind for a corner as Greenacre threatened but Ellison's flag-kick was easily cleared.
The determination of Mark Davies saw the youngster winning a tackle with Chris Shuker before pulling the ball back to Molnar who was off target with a 20-yard drive.
Half-Time: Rover 1 Wolves 1
John Mullin fouled Davies 25-yards out from the Tranmere goal and in a central position but Jones' free-kick bounced to safety off the wall.

Tomasz Frankowski saw his header cleared from underneath the bar by Ward following a centre from Rosa, then Oakes made a tremendous save to turn over a powerful header from Chris McCready after a cross from Greenacre.
Frankowski, who had been heavily involved with some nice touches in build up play, almost broke his scoring duck with a glancing header from the edge of the box that Ward just managed to turn behind after Jones supplied a deep cross from the left.
Wolves regained the lead in the 63rd minute when Mark Clyde drilled a free-kick into the box and Cort rose to head powerfully into the net.
Davies tested Ward with a low 30-yard drive before Guy Finkler, a 62nd minute replacement for Jones, was the victim of a crunching tackle by Rovers full-back Carl Tremarco.
The referee refused to award a foul and, as Finkler limped away, the official compounded the situation by awarding a debatable free-kick to Rovers following a Jody Craddock challenge on Greenacre.

To make matters worse Rovers substitute Jason McAteer took the free-kick from 25-yards out and the ball took a massive deflection off Cort, who was stationed in the wall, completely wrongfooting Oakes as it trickled into the net.
