The Winnall Heads Up North

Posted on: Fri 27 Jan 2012

Young Wolves striker Sam Winnall is to join Inverness Caledonian Thistle, on loan until the end of the season.

A deal has been agreed for the 22-year-old who will, subject to international clearance, be available for Saturday's game with St Mirren.

Winnall will follow the same path taken by Wolves midfielder David Davis, who enjoyed an impressive first half to the season with Terry Butcher's team before returning and heading for another loan with Chesterfield.

Winnall has enjoyed previous loan spells in England with Burton and Hereford, notching nine goals in total.

So far he has made one first-team appearance for Wolves, in the Carling Cup victory over Southend in August, 2010.
