Wolves are poised to strengthen their striking department with the arrival of frontman Marcus Bent from Birmingham on loan until January 4.
The 32-year-old Londoner arrived at Compton this morning and, subject to the necessary paperwork being completed, will add his experience to the club's three frontline strikers Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Kevin Doyle and Steven Fletcher.
The move is designed to both help Wolves and provide a fresh challenge for Bent, who has found himself down the pecking order at St Andrew's.
The striker has been much-travelled since coming through the ranks at Brentford, and his array of clubs include picking up Barclays Premier League experience at Ipswich, Blackburn, Leicester, Everton, Charlton, Wigan and then Blues.
His most recent football came during loan spells with Middlesbrough and Queens Park Rangers last season.
Already with a career goal tally in excess of 100, Bent returned for pre-season at St Andrew's looking sharp and struck four goals as the reserves defeated Southampton in a friendly less than a fortnight ago.

"Marcus is an experienced striker who has played plenty of Premier League football and scored goals," said Wolves CEO Jez Moxey.
"People still talk about whether we've got enough Premier League experience, and Marcus will add to that.
"He's also a different type of striker to what we have in that he's a physical presence.
"We needed someone after the departure of Andy Keogh and Marcus can do a job for us."
