Today's sad news of Matt Murray's retirement will deprive the Wolves dressing room of one of its most lively influences over the last decade.

Even amid times of pain and disappointment on the treatment table, there was never a dull moment with Matt always at the centre of the banter and wisecracks.

Whilst a gentle giant, Matt was also famed for his bearhugs and headlocks, all done with the best possible intentions of course.

He perhaps didn't know his own strength. As one team-mate once said whilst suffering one of the afore-mentioned head-locks:  "There's no point struggling - you just have to wait until he gets bored and lets you go!"

Anyway.  Back at Christmas Matt was at his vintage best as he recorded a special video for subscribers to Wolves Player.
