Telford United 2 (Mills 80, Meechan-pen 84)
Wolves 4 (Winnall-pen 5, 63, Cassidy 17, Naylor-OG 41)
Steve Weaver's Development team were in fine form at The Bucks Head as they raced into a four goal lead before Telford hit back with two late consolations in an entertaining and competitive friendly.
But the game was marred midway through the second period when United's Sean Evans was carried off on a stretcher after suffering a serious leg injury.
Wolves started brightly and the home defence struggled to clear their lines twice within the opening 90 seconds.
Telford's first threat came in the shape of a long range effort from Phil Trainer that keeper Daniel East looked to have covered as it went wide.
With the game in its fifth minute when Martyn Naylor, the brother of one time Molineux defender Lee, felled Matt Hill from behind in the Telford box.
Sam Winnall converted the spot kick sending the ball straight down the middle as keeper Ryan Young dived to his right.
Young was almost beaten again after nine minutes as triallist Jake Cassidy ran onto Nathan Rooney's driven cross and hit a shot on the turn that flew inches over the bar.
But Cassidy wasn't to be denied and he added a second in the 17th minute, drilling a low shot in off the inside of the post.
Although United began to work some openings, the main threat was still coming from the visitors and Winnall was just wide with a curling shot from 25-yards after Scott Malone's corner had only been half cleared.
There were some red faces in the home team as Wolves went three up in the 41st minute. Naylor's back-pass to the keeper wasn't the best but worse followed as Young failed to control the ball which went under his foot and rolled into the empty net.
Within a minute of the restart, Winnall hit the outside of the near post as he fired in a shot from virtually on the by-line.
Half-Time: Telford 0 Wolves 3
Both sides won unproductive corners in the opening minutes of the new half, and then Ashley Hemmings broke through on goal but was forced wide by Young and the danger was cleared.
Malone ran half the length of the pitch before blasting a shot high and wide and then justifiable penalty appeals were waved aside by the referee when Winnall was bowled over by Shane Killock as he ran into the Telford area.
But on 63 minutes Winnall grabbed his second of the night with a quite superb effort. A Telford corner was cleared to the young striker who raced upfield and took a return pass from Hemmings before lifting an inch perfect lob over Young from the edge of the box as two defenders converged on him.
But the game was halted by a nasty injury to United winger Evans who had been on the field as a substitute for literally seconds when he went into a block tackle with David Davis.
Evans collapsed crying out in agony and physios from both sides attended the stricken player before he was stretchered off with his left leg in a splint. Minutes later he was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
When play resumed Malone got in a low angled shot that Young looked to have got his fingers to for a fine save. But the referee awarded a goal kick.
Ten minutes from the end Gregg Mills opened the Telford account with a free-kick from the left that deceived everyone as it curled into the box and went just inside the far post.
Four minutes later Steven Mouyokolo pulled back Alex Meechan in the Wolves area and Meechan blasted the resultant penalty past East.
