Wolves' Development squad will be aiming to continue their fine start to pre-season amid a testing challenge at Newport County AFC tonight (kick off 7.45pm).
Steve Weaver's side kicked off their preparations for the revamped Reserve league next season with two wins on their mini-tour of Northern Ireland last week, beating Lisburn Distillery 4-1 and Glenavon 1-0.
Several among the squad also featured to positive effect in Tuesday's first team friendly at Walsall, Scott Malone, Danny Batth and Ashley Hemmings all starting the game and Aaron McCarey, Johnny Dunleavy and Sam Winnall coming off the bench.
The squad for tonight's game includes Stefan Maierhofer and Stephane Zubar, younger brother of Wolves defender Ronald.
Stephane, 23, also a defender, currently plays for Romanian Liga I team SC Vaslui and has been given permission to turn out this evening after training with Wolves to pick up experience.
Academy youngsters Marcus Bell and Kieran Miller are also included in the squad as is young goalkeeper Louis Connor.
Newport, managed by former Bolton striker Dean Holdsworth, will pose a tough test for Weaver's young charges.
Having risen through the leagues in recent years, last season they stormed to the Conference South title with a record points haul of 103, 28 clear of nearest rivals Dover Athletic.
That takes them back into the Conference proper, the status they occupied prior to going out of business, and within one more promotion of a return to the Football League.
Wolves goalkeeping coach Pat Mountain made over 200 appearances for Newport between 1999 and 2003.
He will take in tonight's game before travelling to Belgium to join the first team squad who travel this afternoon ahead of tomorrow night's friendly with Charleroi.
SQUAD: McCarey, Dunleavy, Ebanks-Landell, S. Zubar, Batth, Malone, Winnall, Davis, Rooney, Hemmings, Maierhofer, Spray, Bell, Connor, Miller.
