Geoffrey Mujangi Bia has had his loan to Wolves from Belgium club Charleroi extended to the end of the 2010/11 campaign.
The 20-year-old winger, who can also play in central midfield, arrived at Molineux along with Adlene Guedioura in January of this year.
He has made two first team starts, in the FA Cup replay at Crystal Palace and in the final away game of the campaign at Portsmouth, and was used as a substitute on a further three occasions.
Manager Mick McCarthy said: "I'm delighted that Geoffrey is staying for another year. He is an exciting young player whose short time with us has been interrupted by niggling injuries.
"I thought that he was impressive the other week against Portsmouth until he had to come off at half-time, and he has looked sharp when he has played for the reserves.
"I'm sure he is going to benefit from being involved in the pre-season with us."
Meanwhile, one loan that has come to an end is that of Segundo Castillo who has returned to his native Ecuador for the summer.
The Red Star Belgrade midfielder was with Wolves for almost the entire 2009/10 season but he only featured in nine first team games for the club.
