Boss Mick McCarthy tonight confirmed that Adlene Guedioura is to join the club permanently on a three-year deal.

The 24-year-old has been on loan from RSC Charleroi since January, and marked his 14th appearance with the winning goal in this afternoon's 2-1 win over Sunderland.

There was always an option in place to make Guedioura a fully fledged Wolves player, and Mick has now confirmed it has been taken up.

"The deal is done with Adlene, it's all sorted," he said.

"He's played well for us since he arrived and he played well today and scored a good goal.

"I know he's a good player and he's come from Charleroi and added something to a Premier League team.

"And he's just scored a winner on the last day.

"He's a lovely fellow and a good player as well."

The boss is hoping another enterprising display this afternoon is a sign of more to come from Guedioura next season and beyond.

"I said before the game he's got a goal in him," he added.

"He's an attack minded midfielder who has played wide right today and I thought he grew into the game and got better and better.

"It was a terrific performance."

Guedioura recently confirmed he is hoping to follow in his father's footsteps by playing for Algeria, and has been named in the provisional squad for this summer's World Cup.
