Mick McCarthy has paid tribute to each and every member of his squad who have been involved in the Barclays Premier League season - saying even fringe players who haven't appeared as much as they would have liked have contributed to Wolves winning their survival battle.
Preserving Barclays Premier League status has been very much dependent on a team effort from Wolves' class of 2009/10, with a tight knit and supportive squad behind the scenes always getting behind the eleven starting each game.
At the same time it isn't the biggest squad around in the top flight, leaving the boss to hope he can make it up to the 25 players needing to be registered next season!
"They've all contributed," said Mick.
"Whether they've contributed a little or a lot in terms of game minutes they've all contributed in terms of making the squad better.
"They've made the back-up to the first team better and have therefore made us a better team.
"Whatever small the way it is I owe them all a debt of thanks because they've been great.
"In terms of numbers we had 20 players out training earlier in the week and they had a game.
"There was Stefan, Segundo, Shacks - who's been out on loan - and a couple of the young lads who were not involved.
"So that's not a really big squad.
"They're talking about a squad of 25 - I'd like to get up to 25!
"All that you see on the back of the programme isn't actually the case.
"You go through it and it's on loan, on loan, on loan, injured, injured, injured and then there's kids, kids and kids and suddenly you get to the 23 players we've been using."
