Christophe Berra admits he'd love to find his way back onto the scoresheet with more regularity - adding a goalscoring touch to his defensive solidity.
The Scotsman has been a consistent presence in the Wolves back-line this season, making the transition from top flight football in Scotland to England and continuing his impressive partnership with Jody Craddock.
But he'd also like to chip in with the odd goal from time to time, with his last coming in a 4-1 defeat for Hearts to Dundee United back in January 2008.
"Scoring goals is something I definitely need to work on," said Berra.
"I need to make sure that I get in the right place at the right time.
"I also need a bit of luck.
"I have had four or five assists this season, a couple for Jody, but there
is something to work on there.
"As a defender, first and foremost, you want to keep clean sheets and we have been doing that recently but it would be a big bonus to chip in with a few goals."
Berra acknowledges he has learned a great deal from his debut season in the Barclays Premier League, both individually and as part of a Wolves team for whom survival has been an impressive achievement.
"I don't think it has really sunk in yet," he added.
"It is a big achievement for the players, the club and for the coaching staff.
"It has been a hard long season and we have reaped the rewards for working hard.
"Personally, I think I have been quite consistent.
"Don't get me wrong I have made mistakes, but that happens when you are a centre half
as you are there to be shot at.
"You will always make mistakes, it is just about trying to cut them out.
"I just want to make sure that I keep on improving and take it on to the next level for next season."
Another aspect of taking it to the next level for Wolves is the efforts to strengthen in the summer.
Berra wouldn't expect anything different.
"I am sure the gaffer will bring in a few players in various positions," he said.
"It is normal. It is good to have competition, it raises your game and keeps you on your toes."
