Kevin Foley today called on Wolves to finish the season with a flourish - as payback for the excellent support from the club's fans.
Another sellout following will head down to Portsmouth tomorrow for the final away game of the season, in keeping with the vast numbers who have followed Wolves up and down the country in this Barclays Premier League season.
And Foley insists that achieving safety last weekend will not be the signal for any let-up as Wolves face up to a tough test at an already relegated Pompey side playing with plenty of freedom ahead of their FA Cup Final with Chelsea.
"Portsmouth have been unlucky with their whole situation this season," says Foley.
"It's their last home game of the season and they've got a cup final to look forward to so the fans will be getting right behind them.
"We're taking a sellout following down there and it's obviously going to be a big game but hopefully one we can get a result out of.
"We want to finish on a high for our own fans as well.
"The club is nothing without the fans, if you haven't got that fanbase cheering you on it's not the same.
"We've always been trying to pay them back for their support and that's another reason we want to get two more results.
"They've come out in force everywhere we've been this season.
"Fulham last game, Manchester United, Arsenal, wherever - it's always been packed out.
"Not many clubs have that these days.
"The support has been fantastic and we could probably have sold a lot more away tickets as well!"
The target for Wolves now is to try and finish 14th, in keeping with boss Mick McCarthy's stated objective of heading the pile of clubs who were battling it out to avoid the drop.
"There will certainly be no easing up," said Foley.
"Our aim is to finish above Bolton who are currently one place above us.
"We want to finish at the top of that group.
"You always want to finish as high as you can and to finish 14th in the table would look good.
"That would bring an even bigger buzz about the place.
"We'll never stop giving 100 per cent and these two games will be no exception."
Whilst Wolves will be giving it all over the remaining three hours of on-field action, Foley admits the events of last weekend as they clinched safety were obviously very warmly received.
"Seeing the result come in on Sunday was great," he added.
"Finally we could say that we were staying up and lived to fight another day next season.
"We want to go out and perform well at these last two games and then it will all start again for next season.
"We're all looking forward to it."
