Wolves' performance at Blackburn back in September was one of the rare off days of this Barclays Premier League season.
And midfielder Dave Edwards believes it's one Wolves are keen to put right at Molineux on Saturday.
Edwards came off the bench at half time in the 3-1 defeat at Ewood Park, and while knowing Rovers will provide a tough test at the weekend, says Wolves are in confident mood as they aim to move closer to survival.
"When we're playing at home we don't really need any extra motivation but the thought that beating Blackburn pushes us close to staying in the Premier League is a great chance for us," he said.
"They are a good strong team who are playing very well at the moment.
"I saw the highlights of the Everton game when they looked good - it's no disgrace to lose to Everton with the form they are in at the moment - and Blackburn also held Manchester United as well.
"It's a tough game but one we feel we can win and at least show what we can do after one of our poorer performances at their place early in the season.
"It would be nice to put in a good performance and show we're a much better team than we were that day.
"I came on at half time but we were never really in the game and Stefan's goal was just a consolation.
"We didn't play well and didn't defend well - they were the much better team which was a shame because at that stage of the season we were hoping to go there and get a result.
"It's up to us to try and put that right on Saturday."
It's the time of the season when fans automatically also look out for other results apart from their own, particularly given a host of teams are involved in this year's survival fight.
The latest result saw West Ham lose at Liverpool last night to remain three points adrift of Wolves, and Hull play their game in hand at home to Aston Villa tomorrow.
But Edwards insists Wolves just need to concentrate on their own business rather than get distracted with events elsewhere.
"There are results that you don't see coming like Wigan beating Arsenal," he said.
"But at the end of the day it's about what we do.
"I think another win would be enough - it might not be enough mathematically but it would put us in a really strong position.
"We've got three games to do that but hopefully we can do it against Blackburn on Saturday."
