Christophe Berra believes it really is the well-worn cliché of taking "one game at a time" as Wolves inch ever closer to possible survival.
The defender was one of those who put in an impressive display at the back as Wolves battled to a draw against Everton on Saturday, making it eight points taken from an unbeaten last four games.
But with a visit to Arsenal the first of Wolves' six remaining fixtures, Berra knows there remains more work to be done to guarantee top flight football next season.
"I don't think anyone would have thought we'd have taken seven points out of nine from the three away games before Saturday and it could even have been nine," said the Scot.
"But now we've taken eight points out of 12 which is a great return and we take that into a nice easy game at Arsenal!
"No one will expect us to get anything at Arsenal and we'll be massive underdogs.
"Not many teams win there, even the best teams in the world struggle there.
"We just have to try and play as we have been doing away from home and try and give them a tough game.
"We don't know how many points we'll need - there are six games to go and we can only concentrate on one at a time.
"It's just about trying to pick up as many points as possible."
Berra admits Wolves expected a difficult afternoon against an Everton side arguably the most in-form in the Premier League at the current time.
And in that respect they weren't disappointed.
But the defence stuck firm, limiting Everton to few chances whilst also having keeper Marcus Hahnemann to thank for several fine saves.
"It was a difficult game," said Berra.
"Everton had a poor start to the season but I think they've only had two defeats in 17 league games and are probably the form team of the league at the moment.
"They've just won at Manchester City and have also beaten Manchester United and the other top teams as well.
"They've got great players and play good football but they also mix it as well physically.
"They've got Saha and then Yakubu up front and have got some very good midfield runners in the likes of Cahill, Osman and Pienaar.
"They came here wanting three points and our start to the game in the first 20 minutes was probably the worst it's been for a wee while.
"That was a bit disappointing but then we worked our way into the game and had a few chances ourselves.
"It was a difficult game and we rode our luck at times but you have to do that in the Premier League.
"We had to call in Marcus a few times but that's what he's there for and his experience helps us."
Berra concluded: "It's a massive point for us.
"We did have some chances of our own as well but we've now drawn with Everton twice and it's another good point.
"I think they knew they were in a game and overall it was another strong performance from us."
